Tom Kippola is a Managing Director with The Chasm Group and joined the firm in 1993, prior to the firm's incorporation as The Chasm Group in 1994.

He is in frequent demand as a speaker and has delivered talks on five continents. He has been a keynote or feature speaker for Microsoft, GE, Xerox, Siemens, IBM, Hewlett-Packard, multiple venture capital firms, and dozens of high-tech industry conferences.
Tom is also in demand as a writer. His articles have appeared in numerous publications including Forbes and The Red Herring, and he is the co-author of the best-selling book The Gorilla Game: Picking Winners in High Technology.
Affiliations
Tom also serves as a venture partner with Voyager Capital, a Seattle and Silicon Valley based venture capital firm with $265M under management. Voyager is primarily focused on the business software & services, wireless, and digital media spaces.
Before Chasm Group
Prior to his consulting career, Tom was Director of Marketing for a venture-backed developer of software for support automation. He graduated from the University of Michigan , where he studied electrical engineering and business.
