Marco Hegyi is a principal with The Chasm Group and has contributed to several client projects at the firm since 2006. Mr. Hegyi provides growth management advisory services to companies of all sizes and works at the board of directors, CEO and senior management levels to form and deploy technology-based growth strategies. Mr. Hegyi brings expertise in and a passion for helping companies expand their businesses with innovative technologies and collaborative partnership strategies using mobile and wireless platforms, service business models and Internet marketing programs.
Mr. Hegyi has served clients ranging from market leaders to venture capital-backed early stage companies. His client work has included Asian market development studies, outsource and offshore planning, mobile application strategy, mobile payment eco-system development, business opportunity assessment, business operations planning, and organization structure and development. Mr. Hegyi brings hands-on leadership experience along with an analytical, process-based approach that identifies and internalizes strategies into a client's operating plans. Mr. Hegyi has briefed and advised Fortune 500 companies and national government representatives on mobile technology trends.
Before Chasm Group
Mr. Hegyi's career spans over 25 years in the software industry where he has held CEO and senior marketing positions in private and public technology companies. Prior to working with The Chasm Group, he served as Senior Director, Global Product Management, at Yahoo Search Marketing where he led web traffic quality and click fraud/spam prevention. Prior to Yahoo, Mr. Hegyi was at Microsoft leading program management for Microsoft Windows and Office beta releases aimed at software developers in the Platform, Products and Services Division. While at Microsoft, he formed new service concepts and created operating programs to extend the depth and breadth of the company's unparalleled developer eco-system, including managing offshore outsource teams in China and India, and being the named inventor of a filed Microsoft patent for a business process in service delivery. Prior to Microsoft, Mr. Hegyi served in a number of senior management and board positions where he led start-ups, grew small to mid-size technology companies, and facilitated company mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Hegyi began his career as a system software engineer developing operating systems and communication protocols.
Mr. Hegyi earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Information and Computer Sciences from the University of California, Irvine, and has completed advanced studies in innovation marketing, advanced management, and strategy at Harvard Business School, Stanford University, UCLA Anderson Graduate School of Management, and MIT Sloan School of Management.
